Juliette Lewis says she was saved by Scientology. The actress can not understand why the Church of Scientology gets so much criticism and is particularly angry about the way Tom Cruise, one of the most prominent members of the faith, is ridiculed for his beliefs. "It's been written about such an obscene way, but it is very often based on common sense and it's really basic things like the use of communication to try and your problems or differences to resolve.' "It is a progressive religion that a body of knowledge. You can use a Jewish Buddhist or a Scientologist, and people do not understand that.
