Baja California Earthquake April 2010: Earthquake California, Mexico Earthquake of 7.2 Magnitude Hit [Video]:
Mexico: 25,000 Quake consequences. On Sunday, an earthquake of 7.2 magnitude hit Baja California. Recent reports estimate that the earthquake affected about 25,000 people, said the governor of the state. On Tuesday, Governor José Guadalupe Osuna Millán said the 7.2 magnitude earthquake in the rural area south of the city of Mexicali affected more than anywhere else.

Most of the damage caused by the earthquake in the southern city of Mexicali. More than 5,000 families reported damage to their house. In some incident reports the earthquake victims reported losing their house because of the earthquake. The earthquake reportedly killed two people and injured over 200.

The earthquake that struck Mexico and rattled as much as three neighboring registered at 7.2 magnitude. Los Angeles and San Diego to Arizona the effects of the quake shook buildings and sent residents looking for a safe place. From Tijuana to Los Angeles the tremor causing havoc for residents and property damage.

Initial reports confirmed a deceased person in Mexico, when a house collapsed, said Alfredo Escobedo, the director of emergency services in Baja California State. He explained that a number of others reportedly were trapped in elevators as one of the retaining walls collapsed and electricity were in different parts of the state.
