Happy Easter small-town America Style

Happy Easter small-town America Style:
The 30th annual Snohomish Easter Parade went without a hitch this year. Thousands turned out this annual event which has become a family event for both young and old to see.

Everyone got into the spirit, including the new Snohomish Senior Center Manager Kim Mosely, who had very extensive Easter bonnet as hundreds of participants in the parade and bonnet contest. Children from all entered to win and thanks to Shelley, who coordinate the Easter bonnet contest, she wound up a complete success.

Snohomish is one of those small town communities where you know everybody and everybody knows you, so it's nice to see your neighbor getting all dressed up and a little silly with the children and perhaps even to have a little candy. In march this year, and includes many fun rides, antique tractor entry was very interesting and of course consistent with the small-town Snohomish theme.

Tow Mater is a huge row and withdraw children from the Boys and Girls Club for the photos after the parade. Tow Mater was sponsored by Dynamic Diesel and Bear Alignment effectively through the parade went twice, but it would have gone through 10 times with no complaints because the children's eyes lit up every time she saw it.

The JROTC led the event, followed by fire trucks and aid cars, it looks like they have a brand new Ford pickup, I wonder that if she out at Bickford? Following the fire, the Snohomish high school marching band. There is something about the sound of a marching band that makes you perk up and realize how big small-town America.

The Board followed with a float charge of Easter bonnet competition entries, each year the Board to float as many entries in the contest Easter bonnet, who like the parade, riding on the float chamber.

A notable absentee from the parade was the Glacier Peak High School marching band, we're not sure if they refused or were not asked or were not interested in the pageant this year. Glacier Peak High School is new and may not have the Easter Parade on their calendar as a regular event.

A thanks goes to Chief John Turner, who, along with the police department have helped keep an ever watchful eye on the participants and the participants. The biggest job for the police in this family oriented event is usually trying to get the children from running into the street to collect candy during the parade. This year there was a report of a kind of a fight near Avenue A, but we have not substantiated that yet.

Hats off to Laura Huntington Windermere real estate for re-coordinated this fantastic parade event and helping to keep the last Easter Parade in Washington state .
