Sandra Diaz-Twine talks 'Survivor: Heroes vs Villains' to win

Sandra Diaz-Twine talks 'Survivor: Heroes vs Villains' to win:

Sandra Diaz-Twine she knew a good chance of winning Survivor: Heroes vs Villains from the last Tribal Council, but she was still surprised when a majority of the votes were cast in its favor.
The former Survivor: Pearl Islands winner claimed Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains "1 one million U.S. dollars prize during the live portion of last night's finale broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City.

Sandra defeated former Survivor: Samoa castaway Russell Hantz and Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites Winner Parvati Shallow in Survivor's very first two time champion.
On Monday, Sandra spoke with Reality TV World about why Russell's strategic and social game play so much underrated, how they thought the final vote would Tribal Council shake, which thwarted Rupert Boneham the opportunity to align with her, and or ever again play the game.
Check back with Reality TV World on Tuesday and Wednesday for our additional interviews with colleagues Survivor: Heroes vs Villains final castaways Parvati, Russell, Colby Donaldson, and Jerri Manthey.
World Reality TV: First, congratulations!
Sandra Diaz-Twine: Thank you!
Reality TV World: Why do you think Russell underestimated your strategic and social game play so much?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: Oh my god, we are fighting all morning. I am pleased that our discussions are now separate because he keeps saying, just because I have that means the system is flawed. I tell him: "You know what Russell? I was a fan before I was a Survivor. I take bits and pieces from everyone and every season winning strategy and I do's and don'ts and have a winning combination."
He thinks that because he saw he played in Micronesia and Samoa, that he is an expert. He is not. He do not understand this game. He can play a thousand times and he will never win.
Reality TV World: It seemed like you could have on the side of [Jerri Manthey] and forced a 2-2 draw between her and Parvati in the Final 4 Tribal Council, but you do not, of course. Does that mean you also prefer the latter three with Parvati instead of Jerri, and if so why?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: Yup. After some time of trying to get rid of Russell as long, everyone wanted him to end. I said: "I have to put aside my feud and I have to take this goat to the end because who plays against him will automatically win."

Parvati is aligned with him and never disconnecting itself from him, she was as bad. [The jury] looked at them like a snake with two heads - one in favor. So I was like, "Damn! These two are great to go to the end."
Reality TV World: Heading in the final Tribal Council, how confident were you able to secure enough votes to win jury? Which members of the jury, you think vote specifically for you and why?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: I thought at that moment that I had four out of five [need] win. Parvati in all her interviews, you talk to her later, will not you?
Reality TV World: Yes.

Sandra Diaz-Twine: Okay, well I do not say what she thinks.

I thought I had at least four of the five. I knew I] vote [Courtney Yates' because she was my friend. [Woodcock Candice] I know her from Fayetteville. Candice went home because of what she did. [Amanda Kimmel] because I was trying to save Amanda and Rupert because he was my friend before. Although I got it from when I end up with Russell and Parvati I knew he would have my vote.

Everyone was applauding Parvati on its strategic game and thought she was a very physical player, so I thought, 'Okay, I get four and gets five. " But when I was six and she was three I was like "wow?"
Reality TV World: Okay, so you know you have six votes - the other two votes for you?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: I have all five Heroes and Courtney. Parvati Jerri [Danielle DiLorenzo] and [Benjamin "Coach" Wade].
Reality TV World: Based on what they see on the episode, you seemed to be one of the main people pushing to keep Parvati was when [Tyson Apostol], Coach and some of the other villains were trying to [Rob "Boston Rob get 'Mariano] to agree to vote instead of Parvati [Randy Bailey] Tribal first from the Villains' Council. And when we talked to Randy a few months ago, he insisted that it was because you had wanted to keep another former winner in the game to help the goal to keep you - is that true or was there a Another reason why you can not seem to want Parvati gone?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: You know what happened, when we landed on the beach was the second number one or number two seconds - it was not even a minute - Randy comes up to me and says: "We have Parvati decided to go because they have already won. "I feel like 'Dude, you do not know who I am? How do you say to me? "I am," Wait a minute Randy, who "we" that she has taken. "Because in my game, I should be in the majority and when he comes to me and told me:" We have decided, "I 'm not part of "we have decided." So I'm already screwed.

You do not tell me that those two things. So I went back and told Parvarti but she already knew. So I thought as long as she remained in the game they would not come after me. So much of the time, although my alliance wanted her out, I do not want her name to be filed because it was not for Sandra. That is strategy.

Reality TV World: Before the Tribal Council, where Rupert ended up going home, you approached him and began telling him how much you wanted Russell gone. Was that because you were planning to give Rupert your hidden Immunity Idol and use it so that you could vote off Russell ...
Sandra Diaz-Twine: Yes. I had expected a lot of secret scenes. At maturity Tribal Council - I will go back - me and Rupert actually talked for 10 minutes. That's why he was crying. But they do because they are not apparent from these scenes in the run up to them. It would have messed everything up.

But when Danielle ... Before we went into the Tribal Council I said Rupert, I would never vote on your behalf. But when Danielle and Russell began to fight and he told Jerri, "Danielle" I switched my vote [Colby Donaldson] to Rupert. When we came back, he was like, "Sandra, what was that?" Because he knew all the votes were either Daniel or Rupert. So it was clear what I did.
Reality TV world: What was your reason for changing your voice there?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: Because I panicked. I was like: 'Oh my god, Danielle Russell is sent home. Although I want revenge against Danielle, now the game's Sandra, they do not go home. "

So the next morning I woke up and I say, 'Listen Rupert, still there is hope. We can still get rid of Russell. "He's like, 'Me, you and Colby?" I'm just like,' No! Me and you! "I think it is not up to add his and that was all I could say, because Russell was coming up. So just that quickly he turns around and says Russell. Then I am the cameras to tell "I still want to [Rupert] my idol, but I do not want to look like [former Survivor: Fans vs Favorites castaway Erik Reichenbach] and give away my idol. [Rupert] saves himself and I still go home. "
Reality TV World: You seemed to be in a pretty tight alliance with Rob Boston, until he got voted in, but I think we had seen you comment on the willingness to "slit his throat" when the time came. So how long were you planning to have him remain faithful as Russell was voted out of the game at that Tribal Council, where Tyson ended up voting place instead?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: to the merger. If the merge fields and came to Boston Rob was there. I was planning on having an alliance with Candice, so for me, I would have went to the heroes and we have a few people from the group Candice and a few people from my group.

If five of us, I want the top 3. If there are seven of us, I have the Top 5. So I always put myself in that position. It all depends, really. I can not say what it would have been, but in the end - once it became an individual game - I know what Boston Rob looks. I have to imitate a lot of his stuff. I was a fan of Rob Boston. I knew he was a dangerous player.

Reality TV World: Do you think the way you stood up on more than one occasion Russell played another factor in the decision of the judges?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: Sure. Why do you think I have all five Hero votes - because I told Rupert on day 1 [the merger], "This is what goes down." He went and told [James "J.T." Thomas] and J.T. was like, 'No, Sandra is a liar. Do not worry about it. We have. " What ultimately happens? He went home. The moment we came back from Tribal Council that night was a different tune. Candice then went and told me when Russell offered her last two.
Reality TV World: Since you both its enemy and its ally, what do you think will prevent Russell from winning the jury vote once he makes it all the way to the end? His aggressive personality and nature of the gameplay why not taunt members of the jury for its strategic game is more or is there more to it?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: He does not know how to play Survivor.

Reality TV World: Why?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: He's a bully. You can not bully people around and you expect them to vote. Let me tell you this, when I saw the final in Samoa, I knew he did not win. I knew - with a tone of all - of what was going on. Me not see how he did not understand that, how he could go back two weeks later and repeat the same game. How is it a strategic player if he change nothing - and that was a crappy game.
Reality TV World: There has been much talk about whether it was fair or not for Russell to get to play the game without anyone to give its season for the first time. What is your thoughts on that?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: Well, it would go in both directions. We had seen his season, we addressed him, and he would be forced to change his game. He would have changed his game, but we would have known what kind of person he was and he would not, as long as it lasted. So it's a pro and a con.
Reality TV World: During their exit interviews, [Jessica "Sugar" Kiper] made some observations which gave rise to much speculation and rumors that somehow knew about Russell Parvati or any contact with him before the game began. Were you aware of that?

Sandra Diaz-Twine: I heard what you say, but I do not know what to say.
Reality TV World: Seeing as how you are the crowned queen of Survivor last night, is there a way you would ever consider your crown on the line and go back out and play again?
Sandra Diaz-Twine: I would in a few years, but now it is too fresh in my head to say I'm going to go back.
Reality TV World: Last night J.T. won the "dumbest move" award. Do you agree that is the dumbest move in Survivor history, and you think the game would have gone had the hidden Immunity Idol, you intercepted JT Russell gave?

Sandra Diaz-Twine: Yes, because when we had got over, I had so quickly reversed, it would not have been funny. I would be so quickly reversed. As I said - I had it Candice. Several things would have happened. Rupert eventually would have been my friend. I could have moved in, I muscled my way to the top. I'm not afraid.
