Obama to Sign Daniel Pearl freedom of press act:
President Obama signing the Daniel Pearl Freedom of the Press Law by the Law on Monday, 05.17, accompanied by six members and three generations of family, Pearl.
The law, named in honor of the Wall Street Journal reporter kidnapped and beheaded by Islamic extremists in Pakistan in 2002, extends the analysis of press freedom worldwide in annual human rights report from the Ministry of the rights of the report.
"Violators of press freedom around the world now knows that they will be closely monitored. This is something our son Danny fought for his life," said Prof. Judea Pearl for leaving Los Angeles for Washington.
Also participating in the White House ceremony 11 hours will Daniel Pearl's mother, Ruth, sisters are Michelle.
