Kenyans sweep top three spots in windy Cleveland Marathon 10K race in:


CLEVELAND - A trio of Kenyans - all first-time visitors to Cleveland - swept the top three spots this morning in the 10-kilometer race at the 33rd Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon.
Philip Lagat of Kenya crossed at just over 29 minutes, just seconds ahead of compatriot Festus Langat
"It was a good race - good but very windy there in Cleveland," said Lagat. "I knew the time was not as good because of the wind, but I'm OK."
Official times were not yet available, but Lagat turned Langat beat by about three or four seconds.
Finishing in third was Aron Rono, also from Kenya.
The winner of the race was for women Firehiwot Dado from Ethiopia, followed by Yuliya Arhipova of Kyrgyzstan in the second and Benita Willis of Australia in third place.
Dado said even if running the Cleveland streets and was happy to win a competitive race.
